Auditions
 Auditions for Nashville Praise Symphony were held in August 2010. We won't have auditions again until the summer of 2012; however, from time to time, we have openings for new players to join us, especially in the string section. If you are a believer and a serious orchestral musician, please feel free to contact us to tell us of your interest in the NPS, and we'll let you know when an opening may occur.
For easy access, we have posted our audition form and music below for download. Auditions also include a short (1-2 minute) prepared piece plus sightreading.
Note: because of the nature of our group, we ask that everyone who is a member of the orchestra be able to provide a clear testimony of his or her faith in Christ. We also ask that each one be an active participant in a local church. This is why you will find a place on the audition form to be signed by your church orchestra director or other church leader.
Everyone involved in the NPS organization serves as a volunteer. All of the offerings we collect at our concerts go to benefit the ministries we support. However, the orchestra has various operating expenses from time to time, so we ask that each member contribute $20 as annual "dues." |
