About the Nashville Praise Group
In the fall of 1996 a handful of church orchestra
directors decided to combine their groups and form a massed
orchestra called the Nashville Praise Orchestra. Since it's
founding they have performed concerts and conducted praise
services in churches, parks, and arenas across Tennessee and
Alabama.
In the summer of 2002, these directors, now
called the Nashville Instrumental Director's
Association (NIDA), felt led to form an additional group
called the Nashville Praise Symphony.
This is an auditioned group of just under 50 skilled musicians
currently under the baton of Camp Kirkland, renowned Director,
Arranger, Orchestrator, Spokesman and Clinician. The NPS has
enjoyed performing benefit concerts for Christian organizations
to bring awareness and funding to further their ministries.
The newly formed Nashville
Praise Jazz Orchestra is a swing band that features gifted
musicians playing a contemporary "big band" sound.
Also debuting are the Nashville Praise Ensembles, formed so
that every musician has an opportunity to fulfill their calling
as a worship leader, to build valuable friendships with those
who have a like calling for strength & support, and to
impact our world with a dynamic celebration of praise &
worship.
These groups are dedicated to providing a
spiritual focus through their lives and instruments, leading
God's people in worship.
